Uniting Voices and Hearts, the Florida Haitian Gospel Festival Brings Communities Together Through Worship and Song
MIAMI, FL — A wave of spiritual revival is set to sweep through South Florida as the Florida Haitian Gospel Festival prepares to uplift hearts and amplify faith on Saturday, October 11. Hosted at Bethel Baptist Church, 17601 NW 2nd Avenue in Miami, this landmark event is emerging as one of the most anticipated gospel celebrations in the Haitian Music Industry (HMI).
Promising a night of praise, talent, and transformative worship, the festival features a star-studded lineup of established and emerging gospel voices, uniting generations through a shared celebration of faith and culture.
A Showcase of Gospel Excellence
Organized under the leadership of Maestro Anderson Cameau, founder of the renowned group Apocalypse 2000, the Florida Haitian Gospel Festival is much more than a concert—it’s a cultural and spiritual awakening.
The performance roster includes:
- Apocalypse 2000, with a new CD release debuting at the festival
- Emeline Michel, Haiti’s beloved musical ambassador to the soul
- New Generation Music, a youth-driven band electrifying the stage with compas-inspired gospel
- Fr. Benedict Lamartine, the Haitian singer from New York City
- Sr. Minister Candy, Marielle Donatien, and the New Birth Baptiste Choir
- Community voices such as Pasteur Gaspard, Fr. Jeffrey Isma, Fr. Elie, and Sr. Carnide
- Dancers Marie Carmel and Gina Demergeau Lasseur
- Jonathan Laurince, Sr. Paulatte, Determination Music, Devoted Mizik, and Heavenly Gospel from Martinique
This powerful lineup will offer a musical experience that blends traditional praise with modern energy, reflecting the diversity and richness of Haitian gospel music.
Hosted by the Legendary Tonton Bicha
Bringing both levity and cultural charm, the festival will be hosted by Haitian icon Tonton Bicha, whose wit and beloved stage presence ensure the event will be as joyful as it is inspirational.
Faith with Purpose: Reclaiming the Youth
At the heart of the festival is a vital mission. As Anderson Cameau explains, “This is not just about music. It’s about reclaiming our youth through faith, creativity, and purpose.” His wife, Tabitha Cameau, adds, “We want this to be one of the most unforgettable moments in Gospel music history.”
The organizers aim to address a troubling trend in the Haitian community: young gospel musicians being overlooked or sidelined by church leadership, which often leads them toward secular music careers. The festival serves as a platform to nurture their gifts within a spiritual context, giving them visibility and encouragement.
Civic Recognition and Support
The festival’s cultural and spiritual importance has earned it strong civic backing. North Miami Mayor Alix Desulme has officially declared October both Apocalypse Awareness Month and Florida Gospel Month, a symbolic move that local congregations have applauded.
Special appreciation is extended to: Vice Mayor Marie Irvin and Commissioner Marleine Bastien for their ongoing support for events that uplift the Haitian community, which is making a lasting difference.
Powered by Community Sponsors
Behind the scenes, a group of generous sponsors is helping make this momentous event possible: Paul Unik Gourmet – Haitian cuisine at its finest, Ti Sony Sounds – Premier sound and production, Top Notch – Event excellence support, Dr. Rodlin Jerome – Promoting wellness and community care, Pasteur Gaspard – Faith leader and event partner
